Training by Mel
Thank you so much to Mel for hosting a fun run/walk at the shelter. She is a fitness trainer based in Gilletts. We absolutely love this video!!!
Microchipping
As we are approaching the “Festive Season” I am pleading to all dog/cat owners that have had their dogs/cats microchipped to check the following:
1. Is the dog/cat microchip registered to you
2. If so, are your contact details up to date
If you are not sure how to check these things, or you need help/advice on how to register them in your name, please send me WhatsApp/SMS ONLY on 061 522 8468.
Christmas Trees
Once again, we would like to Thank Pete and Maralyn for donating these beautiful trees to us from your beautiful farm, to help us raise funds. We are so grateful to you, and we so very grateful to the people who bought these special trees from us.
Quiz Night at Stretta
On the 26 November we had a quiz night at Stretta.
It was our first quiz night and honestly one of the best nights with regards to fund raising. Everyone is asking when we doing another one.
107 people attended, it was so much fun and we completely sold out.
To our amazing family, friends and supporters who attended. Thank you for loving us.
If you didn’t make it, you missed out, but you will be happy to know we will most definitely do another one in the near future.
Malvern Primary School Visit
Thank you for having us visit. We so grateful for the donations – thank you students and parents. What a lovely happy school!
We had so much fun! Please come visit us soon. This was our last school visit for 2023. We hoping many more schools invite us and our pups in 2024.
We Were Flooded in October
Durban Bothas Hill
We’ve been hit really hard by the rain and are reaching out for help.
We need help with some much needed Drainage in various areas around the centre. We’d be extremely grateful for any help.
And we will happily issue you with a Section 18A to assist with TAX purposes.
Please WhatsApp Jade 082 210 4235.
Hillcrest Girl Guides
A huge thank you to the Hillcrest Girl Guides for visiting us and helping us bath our babies.
In the heat they were so grateful – and of course we extra grateful for the caring and loving hands.
We hope you come back again for cuddles.
Barbara, Faye and Deryn
Simply Bathrooms
We popped into
Simply Bathrooms this morning on our way back from our vet with two of our pups, little Nova who is deaf and little Remi who had his foot eaten by rats.
They got lots of love and cuddles.
Thank you so much Scott and the team from Simply Bathrooms for all you do for us.
This Heat
IT’S Sooooooo HOT
Please consider donating a Plastic Shell to our rescue babies, we’d love to use them as a splash pool in our cabins.
You don’t even need to leave your desk, simply order from Takealot (price subject to change) and get it delivered straight to the adoption centre. However we Do love to say thank you in person, and show you the work we are doing, so we’d love to see you! Plus there’s always puppy cuddles. 4 Clement Road, Bothas Hil, KZN
Long Term Boarding
Don’t forget. We offer long term boarding—not JUST a few nights here and there. Leaving the country? Moving between homes or immigrating. We can help.

Emmanuel
The African dog whisperer,.
Emmanuel played a huge part in teaching our staff the basics of dog training and handling when we started here in Bothas Hill. He has also helped many of the people who have adopted from us over the years with introductions, behaviour issues and general puppy training.
He was, and still is, admired, loved and will live on with us forever in our hearts.
Never forgotten! WE MISS YOU EVERY SINGLE DAY!!
