All funding goes towards Paw Prints Rescue and Rehoming. Volunteers who assist, do so out of the kindness of their hearts, driven by passion and their love for animals, they are not compensated by Paw Prints Rescue and Rehoming.
Volunteers help to keep everything running and ensure that our rescues have the best chance at a better life. They bring so much love to our animals when they need it most, volunteering their time at Paw Prints Rescue and Rehoming. Volunteers also help with education and outreach, connecting with our community on issues of animal welfare.
You have the power to change the lives of companion animals now and in future! Volunteers support every facet of our work. A helping human hand is very welcoming and appreciated, there is a lot of work to go around to give our rescues the best possible support and care.
- You can choose how often and when you volunteer. It is great if you can commit to a regular day to come in, but we understand that this is your free time.
- Volunteers can do different types of work; YOU aren’t forced to do any tasks you aren’t comfortable with.
- Even if you can’t come into volunteer at the Paw Prints Rescue and Rehoming Centre there are ways to help. Refer people to this website. Forward the details of animals looking for homes to your friends by networking their profiles both from this website and from Paw Prints Rescue and Rehoming on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
- Collect dog food and newspapers at your school or work. Donate old household goods, books, second-hand clothing that are resalable, to sell at the monthly market for fundraising.
- We ask that you consider doing a once-off R50 cash donation on the day you volunteer, all funds go towards the many pups and dogs in our care.
